Tusa — 3D social network
Around 2013 I got an idea of a more immersive social network, tentatively named Tusa (which means Hangout in Russian).
It’s a social network, where your friends would be 3D avatars, based on themselves. It’d be available for traditional screens, in augmented reality and in virtual reality.
Imagine, you sit in your living room. Here is how you would be interacting with a friend in augmented reality:
You could see all your online friends, in lively animated avatars, and interact with them:
Avatars would be as realistic as possible. Ideally, they would be created based on actual person via 3D scanning:
We actually started development, but it’s currently on hold:

Another iteration of this idea was named Nextget.
The very first idea for this was to have isometric / top view:
Well, probably Facebook or Google could pull this off and maybe already doing it, while I don’t have funding for this. So the only thing left is to join them. 🙂
